Buddhapadipa-Buddhist Temple– Wat Buddhapadipa was the first formal Buddhist Temple in the UK according to Thai Tradition. It is affiliated to the Royal Thai Embassy in London.
Background History: Buddhapadipa Buddhist Temple
The temple was officially inaugurated by their Majesties, the King and Queen of Thailand on the 1 August 1966. Buddhist Temple Foundation purchased the present premises in 1975 and moved it to Wimbledon in November 1976. Originally it was located on Christ Church Road, Richmond. It has been enjoying royal patronage since 1965.

Visiting to buddhapadipa Buddhist Temple: opening times
The Temple is open throughout the year to all people regardless of race, creed, religion, nationality, age and sex.
Spring and Summer: 9.30 am to 6 pm. Autumn and Winter: 9.30 am to 5 pm
They have an arrangement for guide tour which last up to 1 hour. Pre-book is required. There is no charges for the tour but they appreciate donation.
